What can you tell us about your company?
The firm was established in 1994. My husband was my colleague from the university. We were both design engineers. The orders for designing projects decreased and we decided to set up a company for production and assembly of concrete steel, a steel yard. My education helps me a lot to do cope with this work, and I like to meet people and assist them with whatever I can, either an advice or something else. When we set up the company, we had some 12-15 workers, but afterwards we bought many machines and we reduced the number of jobs. Now, we have 4-5 workers.
Entrepreneurship is still often considered a man’s territory; what advice would you give young women who want to become an entrepreneur?
Nowadays, a large number of companies are run by women who cope very well with their work. We can bear our responsibilities, we can understand better the problems and needs of our employees. We bear inside us that trait of motherhood and we can listen to them and have an adequate attitude to the problems and their needs.
What is your favourite part of your job?
My favourite part of this job is to see the customers satisfied with the work we have done and to see them off with a smile and as good acquaintances. And I feel glad when they come back to me.
